New FBI Warning for Computer Users

As reported on the news 10 website, a San Diego, California news station, the FBI announced that there is a new issue that computer users need to be aware of. Because Valentine's Day is a day to get e-cards from friends and family, computer hackers are using this knowledge to their advantage.
The new alert comes in an e-card type email. Once you open your card, malware is downloaded to the computer causing it to be infected and it becomes part of a Storm Ware botnet.
Here is the pertinent information from the printed version of the news story as found on www.10news.com:
"A botnet is a network of compromised computers under the control of a single hacker. Botnets can be used to facilitate criminal activity such as sending spam e-mail, identity theft, denial of service attacks and spreading malware to other computers connected to the Internet, the FBI news release said."
"The Storm Ware malware has capitalized on various holidays in the past year by sending millions of e-mails advertising an electronic greeting card link in spam e-mail. Valentine's Day has been identified by the FBI as the next target."
